List of Mountain  Passes in Kerala and important features.

The Palakkad Gap
  •  It is a low mountain pass in the Western Ghats between Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu and Palakkad in Kerala. 
  •  The pass is located between the Nilgiri Hills to the north and Anaimalai Hills to the south.
  • The Bharatha Puzha river originates in the Palakkad Gap.
  • Palakkad is known as the gateway to Kerala due to the presence of the Palakkad Gap.
The Thamarassery Pass
The pass  connects Kozhikode and Wayanad

Perambadi Pass
Perambadi Passconnects Kannur and Coorg

The Bodinaykannur pass
This pass is in the Travancore area (Central Kerala) connects Madurai with the High
Ranges of Idukki district in Kerala

Kamban pass
Through the Kamban pass was transacted most of the trade from central Kerala (Thodupuzha).

Aryankavu Pass
It connects Shenkottai in Tamil Nadu with Punalur in Kerala.

Arambadi pass (Aruvamozhi)
Connects Trivandrum in Kerala and Thirunelveli in Tamil Nadu
